Role Overview
As a Thermal Systems Intern, you will build simulation models for process equipment such as heat exchangers, boilers and heat pumps. In this role you will extend your knowledge on both the thermodynamic concepts as well as how to optimize designs for process equipment.
You are a fit if you thrive on tough problems and deliver practical solutions. You'll work alongside the co-founders of Entropic on product development and projects at large industrial sites in the process industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Build physics-based simulation models for process equipment.
- Develop optimization algorithms for heat networks.
- Validate models against plant data; create test plans and benchmarks.
- Collaborate with process engineers and software engineers to turn models into product features.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in Python.
- Experience with process simulation.
- Background in Chemical/Mechanical/Process engineering or related field.
Why Join Us?
- Impact: Decarbonize the largest emitters in society
- Hands-on experience: Build software that ships to industrial sites
- Steep learning curve: Quickly gain expertise in simulation software for industrial processes.
