We are looking for an ambitious and talented individual who is deeply passionate about mechanical engineering research to fill the role of R&D Mechanical Engineer in our team.
What will you do?
Define, manage and carry out technical research and development projects in line with the company vision and technical roadmap: design compliant mechanisms, develop models to understand mechanics and dynamics, run optimization studies, create design rules.
- Develop (FEM) simulations, set-up and run experiments, translate results into meaningful input for product decisions, support product development projects and pilot projects.
- Define and oversee projects with universities; set-up and supervise (technical) internship projects, define research objectives, select candidates.
- Oversee the intellectual property portfolio and steer future research directions.
- Represent the company; attend networking events, congresses and stakeholder meetings.

Requirements
- A M.Sc. or PhD in a hardware engineering discipline and relevant experience in R&D
- Deep experience with modelling mechanical systems in MATLAB, CAD design, FEA (for example: static studies, eigenmode analysis, buckling analysis, non-linear post-buckling analysis).
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Available on a full-time basis.
- Able to commute to our office in YES!Delft.
