We are looking for a multitalented and hands-on intern to join our Operations team based in Delft. The operations team is responsible for ensuring the running of a R&D site in Ireland as well as the daily operations during the upcoming Beta test period in the Netherlands. The latter is of particular importance as we gear up towards commercializing our first product, the Hawk Kite BESS (Kite Battery Energy Storage System). You will have a challenging internship learning the ins and outs of an airborne wind energy system which will complement your academic knowledge and gain valuable work experience. Suggestions on job responsibilities are always welcome, but we had a first go at a task description already:

🤔What will you do?

● Participate in flight tests in the field ○ This ranges from pre-flight preparations, launch, landing, observation of the kite flying and SC system, and post-flight maintenance of the kite systems
● Assist in market research (carbon offsetting) for deployments of the systems
● Investigate operational sites in the Netherlands and help optimize processes
● Possibility to collaborate with software and hardware teams on technical ad-hoc tasks
● Plan logistics for Kitepower projects deployment (including abroad)
● Investigate the market for alternative applications of kite technology
● Input on streamlining daily operations through observation, feedback, process recommendations

👩‍💻 Requirements

● Scientific studies or applied sciences (math, physics, technical/mechanical engineering discipline)
● Fluent written/spoken English
● Experience in programming in Python
● Driver’s license B
