SoundCell is a rapidly growing startup with an office and laboratories in the vibrant environment of Yes!Delft. Our goal is to provide diagnostic platform to hospitals to help doctors to quickly determine which antibiotics will be effective for patients with infections (see also our website: www.soundcell.nl). As a Mechanical engineer, you will play a crucial role in achieving this mission and have the opportunity to grow and make a real impact together with us.
What will you do:
• Design, develop, test and evaluate our innovative cartridges and constantly pursue improving the efficiency, speed and quality of our cartridge manufacturing and assembly process.
• Actively collaborate with our software engineers and microbiology colleagues teams to ensure our cartridges meet technical specifications while integrating seamlessly with cross-team inputs, workflows, and usability needs.
Prepare technical reports, presentations, and product specifications to ensure effective knowledge sharing, maintain quality standards, and support regulatory compliance.
What we offer:
• A gross (full-time) monthly salary between €3.900 and €4.800 (depending on your knowledge and experience) and holiday pay (8%).
• 25 vacation days (based on a full-time position), plus national holidays.

What we are looking for:
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Mechanical engineering, Bachelor's or Master's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, physics, or related fields
• Innovative problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Experience with mechanical prototyping, 3D printing, testing, and analysis
• Proficiency in 3D CAD design software and additive manufacturing, and mechanical engineering skills
• Programming skills and experience with automation is a plus
• Motivated team player with good written and verbal communication skills
