About Magneto: In Magneto, we believe that we don’t have to sacrifice our planet for our comfort or vice versa. Current heating and cooling systems are some of the biggest producers of greenhouse gas emissions.
Our solution based on state-of-the-art magnetocaloric technology offers an alternative to producers of heat pump appliances for cooling and heating. An alternative with zero greenhouse gas emissions saves their clients around 30% of power consumption and has a lower cost of ownership. Using cutting-edge additive manufacturing technology, we produce 3D-printed magnetocaloric materials, revolutionizing the cooling and heating industry and enabling highly efficient, gas-free and sustainable refrigeration, air conditioning and household heating. We are in the exciting phase of a fast-growing start-up and are looking for a reliable and curious Lab Technician.
The selected candidate will be a core member of the quality control and product development team, work among a group of multidisciplinary (and fun!) colleagues and develop Magneto but also herself/himself. What you'll do:
Create cutting-edge products: You will be at the heart of our production, quality control and maintenance efforts, using your abilities to create high-quality products for our magnetocaloric heating and cooling systems.
• PRODUCTION: Transform raw metal powders into our magnetocaloric products using cutting-edge 3D printers and furnaces. Your hands-on skills will be pivotal in bringing our visions to life.
• QUALITY CONTROL: Join forces with our quality control team and use advanced analysis equipment in our lab to ensure the high quality of our magnetocaloric products. Provide ideas to improve lab and production processes and demonstrate continuous improvement.

What you'll bring:
You have passion and curiosity for novel sustainable technologies to help our planet! You are always eager to learn and grow in your expertise. You are a practically oriented person and like to find simple solutions for complex problems.
• LAB TECHNICIAN PROFICIENCY: You possess an undergraduate (HBO) or applied (MBO) degree as a technician. You have practical experience in chemical labs. Experience in research or the chemical industry is definitely a plus.
• CHEMISTRY: You have a basic understanding of general chemistry
• QUALITY CONTROL: You have a basic understanding of the techniques of quality assurance and quality control
• TROUBLESHOOTING: Basic understanding of theory, operation, calibration, maintenance and troubleshooting of laboratory instrumentation.
• KEEN EYE ON SAFETY: You know how to handle chemicals and ensure that everyone in our lab works safely.
