GeoBirds is an ambitious start-up developing smart technologies to map and predict international trade flows using machine learning, large datasets, and satellite imagery. Our solution helps companies in the logistics sector proactively design more efficient transportation networks.
🎯 What will you do?
As a Data Science Intern / Working Student (PT/FT), you’ll be focusing on the data side of our solution. You’ll be part of a small and driven team where autonomy and impact go hand in hand. Your contribution will be essential.
You’ll work on:
• 🧩 Data sourcing: identifying, collecting, and enriching external datasets
• 🛠️ Data engineering: cleaning, structuring, and preparing data for analysis
• 🧮 Modeling: building and testing models
• 📊 Contributing ideas for turning data insights into product features and business value
👤 Who are we looking for?
We’re looking for a proactive student who:
• Is studying a program where data science, machine learning, or AI plays a central role (e.g., Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Systems & Control, Data Science & Technology, Transport, Infrastructure & Logistics)
• Has experience with and/or is willing to learn Python (e.g Pandas, Geopandas, NumPy) SQL, Data flow tools (e.g. dbt, Airflow, Cloud Composer), Git, Computer Vision models (e.g. YOLO) and the Google Cloud platform (BigQuery, Vertex AI)
• Can work independently and in a structured way in a young, entrepreneurial setting
