As an intern, you will work on hands-on engineering projects focused on the design and development of equipment and systems for processing novel materials, including:
- Design and development of mechanical systems and machines
- Design for additive manufacturing and material processing
- Prototyping, testing, and iterative improvement of mechanical components
- Integration of extrusion systems
- Optimization of machine performance and reliability
- Supporting scale-up from lab setups to functional prototypes
Projects are part of ongoing R&D and industrial collaborations, giving you the opportunity to contribute directly to working machines and real-world applications.
🎓 Who should apply
Students (HBO or university) in:
- Mechanical Engineering
- Mechatronics
- Industrial Design Engineering (with strong mechanical focus)
- Robotics or related disciplines
We are looking for someone who:
- Enjoys hands-on building and prototyping
- Has experience with CAD (e.g., SolidWorks, Fusion 360, or similar)
- Is interested in machine development and experimental setups
- Likes working at the intersection of engineering and materials
