In this role, your goal is to drive the commercial growth of Somnox's e-commerce market in the Direct to Consumer sector, ensuring sustainable growth in the Netherlands and later across Europe. To achieve this revenue growth, you will have the freedom and responsibility for both the growth strategy and its execution. This includes Somnox's online brand presence, campaigns, social media (including partnerships), webshop optimization, and the commercial offerings to customers, such as subscription models.
We are looking for a creative and driven leader with experience in e-commerce, content creation, and building a consumer brand. Experience with consumer subscription models is a strong advantage. You are able to think conceptually based on experience but are also hands-on and can execute ideas decisively. This role is ideal for someone who has successfully scaled a product or brand from 10 to 100 and is ready to take the next step in driving growth at Somnox. For the consumer market, you are the commercial engine. You will work closely with CEO Julian, who is responsible for the B2B market, as well as with our flexible network of freelancers and agencies.

Key Tasks & Results:
- Brand Strategy & Positioning: Develop and implement a brand strategy that ensures the continued healthy growth of Somnox in the consumer market, while building a sustainable emotional connection with our customers.
- Content Creation: Lead the development of compelling content (including video) that resonates with our target audience on social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok), using it to increase brand awareness and drive conversions. You will create content and campaigns that not only inform but truly connect with customers, conveying a sense of calm and well-being.
- E-commerce Strategy: Optimize our online presence and e-commerce channels, including partnerships, with a focus on improving the customer journey and maximizing sales opportunities through A/B testing and data-driven experiments.
- Team Expansion: Work closely with freelancers and agencies, while also expanding the internal e-commerce team, positioning yourself as a hands-on leader.
- Campaign Execution: Implement marketing campaigns from start to finish, including performance marketing activities, with an emphasis on brand experience as well.
- Customer Insights & Analysis: Use data insights to fine-tune marketing strategies and evaluate them based on ROAS, while also combining this with creative and empathetic thinking.
- Hands-on Mentality: Actively contribute to execution, whether it's writing copy, managing campaigns, or directing content production.
KPIs you are responsible for:
- Customer Acquisition & Revenue Growth: Increasing the number of new customers and the revenue they generate.
- Conversion Rate: Optimizing the percentage of visitors who convert into paying customers.
- Retention: Increasing the retention of customers acquired through marketing activities, with a focus on repeat purchases and subscription renewals.

- Experience: At least 5-7 years of experience in a senior marketing role, with proven successes in e-commerce, content creation (including video production), and experience with subscription models for consumer goods is a plus.
- Doer: You are someone who can lead but also enjoys getting hands-on and doesnβt consider any task too small.
- Start-up Mentality: You have previously taken something from 0 to 1, preferably in a dynamic, non-corporate environment. You understand the challenges of working in a small team and know how to make effective use of resources.
- Creative & Data-Driven: You combine strategic thinking with creative talent, using customer data to back your decisions while keeping the emotional aspect in mind.
- Flexible & Proactive: You are flexible and can switch quickly between strategy and execution, taking a proactive approach.
- Leadership: You have proven experience in building and leading teams, with a focus on coaching and developing talent.
