* Collaborate closely with the R&D team to design and develop hardware for the central battery management system.
* Focus on hardware design, testing, and optimisation, ensuring system reliability and compliance with technical requirements.
* Develop PCB layouts using Altium and oversee prototype manufacturing and testing processes.
* Perform hardware testing and validation, including debugging and troubleshooting at the component and system levels.
* Evaluate and select components such as batteries, inverters, chargers, and other power system elements.
* Support the integration of hardware into the final product, ensuring compatibility with software and system requirements.
* Ensure designs meet environmental and safety standards for water-tight and durable casing solutions.
* Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturers to evaluate design feasibility and support scaling for production.
* Research emerging trends and technologies in hardware design, particularly in battery management and power systems, to contribute innovative solutions.
👉🏼 You are
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
* Proficiency in hardware design and schematic capture using Altium.
* Experience with power systems, including batteries, inverters, and chargers.
* Knowledge of serial communication protocols (SPI, UART, CAN) and their hardware implications.
* Strong understanding of design considerations for soft charge systems.
* Experience with environmental and safety standards for hardware design, particularly for outdoor or industrial applications.
* Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills for system-level debugging and optimisation.
* Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
* Ability to take ownership of the hardware design process and ensure alignment with project goals and timelines.
👩💻 Requirements
* Experience working with water-tight hardware systems.
* Familiarity with thermal management and durability considerations for battery systems.
* Hands-on experience with prototyping, testing, and validation tools.
