Role Overview
We are looking for an E&I Engineer who is passionate about automation, sensor selection, and building control panels. In this role, you will contribute both to the software side (programming in Schneider Electric systems like PLC, HMI, and SCADA) and the hardware side (integrating sensors, building, and wiring control cabinets).

Key Responsibilities
• Selection and integration of sensors, actuators, and field instrumentation
• Building and wiring control panels according to electrical schematics
• Programming and configuring Schneider Electric PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems
• Supporting installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting activities
• Creating and maintaining electrical documentation
• Collaborating with mechanical, process, and operations teams to deliver complete working systems
Qualifications & requirements
• Degree or vocational training (MBO-4, HBO, or University level) in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Automation, Mechatronics, or related fields
• Experience or basic knowledge of industrial automation and instrumentation
• Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, Ethernet/IP)
• Experience or basic knowledge in Solid Works
• Experience with Schneider Electric software (e.g., EcoStruxure, Control Expert) is a plus
• Experience in control panel construction and electrical installations is a plus.
• Relevant certificates (e.g., NEN3140, VCA, panel building) are valued, or willingness to obtain them
• Hands-on and proactive attitude, eager to learn and develop
• Proficiency in Dutch and/or English
• Certificate of good conduct (VOG), needed to work on-site in the water sector
• The applicant must possess a valid Dutch or EU residence and work permit. CIWI is not able to sponsor visas
