About you:
• Technological background (Preferably BEng or higher education);
• Experience in: C++ or similaro Matlab/Simulink
• Knowledge in the following fields is preferred: PCB/embedded systems design; Experience with PLC’s/ industrial automation; CADdrawing
• You are up for a challenge and eager to learn, you operate well in environments requiring flexibility and you are creative, self-supported and take responsibility.
• You are looking for a job within a young company and are willing to grow along withus.
💻 What you will be doing
Smart-Ship creates unique and innovative control systems for the maritime industry. Not only are our systems used to control a variety of ships, our system also transfers information to operators through haptic feedback. With this technology, maritime operations become safer and more sustainable. On top of that, our products enable new technologies, like hybrid drivetrains, to be utilized to their full extent. As an R&D Engineer, your responsibility is to develop the software which enables communication between our products and the ship. Besides writing code at your desk, this also means you implement and test the software while sailing. On top of that, your role is to support the development of embedded systems and designing electronics. All of this is happening from the very inspiring environment of the YES!Dlft Startup Incubator.
Your role:
• Developing software used to control the levers and for communication between thelevers and the ship.
• Optimising our PCB’s and other embedded systems;
• Development and implementation of User Interfaces aboard ships;
PCBs• Prototyping of new concepts.
